Role Overview
We’re looking for a Junior Video Editor to join our creative team on a three-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and project requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a developing editor with a passion for storytelling and a solid understanding of editing for platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
You must have excellent English communication skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrable experience editing multi-camera footage. A strong eye for pacing, narrative structure, and audience-focused content is essential. Prior experience working with clients or on campaigns is a definite plus.
Key Responsibilities
Edit short-form and long-form video content tailored for social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
Work with multi-camera footage — syncing, cutting and refining edits for maximum clarity and impact.
Repackage existing material or raw footage into engaging and compelling stories.
Add text overlays, subtitles, transitions, music, and basic motion graphics to improve viewer retention.
Adapt edits to suit platform-specific best practices in terms of format, duration and pacing.
Collaborate with producers, writers, and social media managers to ensure edits align with creative briefs and brand tone.
Respond positively to feedback and make timely revisions as required.
Keep up-to-date with trends and editing styles across social media.
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience editing video content (freelance or in-house).
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop or Illustrator is a bonus.
Proven experience with multi-camera edits.
Excellent storytelling skills, with a clear understanding of what engages audiences online.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken – this is essential for effective team communication and editorial accuracy.
Understanding of different platform formats (e.g., vertical for TikTok, square for Instagram, landscape for YouTube).
Ability to work quickly, stay organised, and meet tight deadlines.
Experience working with clients or on branded campaigns is a strong advantage.
